The Story of Eco Warriors Nagaland
Eco Warriors Nagaland was born from a shared concern for the environment and a deep commitment to protecting the natural heritage of Nagaland. What started as a small group of passionate individuals has grown into a dedicated movement working toward ecological conservation, awareness, and sustainable change.
Our Beginning
The foundation of Eco Warriors Nagaland was laid on October 16, 2018, when thirteen individuals from diverse backgrounds came together with a common purpose—to address the growing environmental challenges facing the state. Under the leadership of founder Lesemew M., the group transformed their concern into collective action.
The idea took shape during a training program on waste management and environmental conservation conducted under the Green Skill Development Programme. What began as an educational experience quickly evolved into a mission. The participants realized that awareness alone was not enough—real change required initiative, consistency, and community involvement.
A Vision Takes Shape
With this realization, Eco Warriors Nagaland was formally established with a clear vision:
to promote ecological conservation by inspiring individuals and communities to actively protect and preserve the environment.
From the very beginning, the organization understood that conservation is not a solitary effort. It requires collaboration between individuals, communities, and institutions. Early guidance and support from forest officials helped shape the group’s direction and strengthen its grassroots approach.
Growing Through Action
Eco Warriors Nagaland rapidly grew from a small initiative into an active conservation network. The organization began working closely with schools, local communities, and government bodies to create awareness and encourage sustainable practices.
